Tom L. first brought this site to my attention and Captain Bob Huffaker of the Alabama Marine Police Division has confirmed that there is now an online boat safety course for Alabama boaters or anyone interested in learning about boat safety in general. It has good information and even a pre-test that you can use to "bone-up" on your knowledge of boat safety. This is the only online boat safety certification course accepted by the Alabama Marine Police Division.

Try it and see how much you know! And, if you haven't yet gotten your Alabama boating license, this is a convenient way to do it. There is a $15 dollar fee for actually taking the certification exam online, but it may be well worth the convenience for many!
Note: They are still working on the functional parts of the exam, so it is still under construction, but the pre-test already works and there is plenty of very good information for all boaters.
