Crappie in guntersville are coming on strong. Limiting out is not a problem. Fish are suspending in 14 feet of water and are feeding heavily on threadfin shad. Fish are hitting tube jigs in cotton candy and also bassassasins in crystal shad. Some have been caught on minnows but the action is fast enough that minnows are not required. Water temperature is 65.6. The next couple of days are going to be critical for excellent crappie fishing. Size range right now is 1 pound or better. Have been catching a few pushing the 2 pound range. Plan on fishing next week and will report after my trips.
