Went to Cochran landing on the Tenn Tom waterway the other day. Me and a friend kept 27 of the biggest crappie ranging anywhere from 1 to 1.5 pds. Probably threw back 15 or 16 crappie. The fish were holding in 20 feet of water and were suspended at about 15 or 16 feet. Caught on a bass asassain tiny shad (chartruese) tipped with a crappie niblet the same color. Don't know how many of u fish the Tenn Tom but the crappie fishing can be excellent there in the colder months if u can stand the cold and just keep with them until u find them in the deep water. Usually when u find them u will find a bunch of them.
