Crappies in the Coosa are biting good. The fish are hanging shallow near piers and stumps Tip: use white and yellow colored jigs ,or live minnows

The problem we have now is falling water. This time of year we get tons of rain & Alabama Power keeps the flood gates open. This in turn creates falling water & runs the fish deeper. All you can do is learn to fish deep.

Lay & Logan Martin are both good lakes right now. The crappie are still full of eggs & we have been catching some coal black fish (spawning fish). We have not found crappie close to the bank early in the day.
