We just got back from Weiss for a week of fishing. April 1 - 6. If the weather holds out and the days are warm like they were Saturday the 6th you should have some great fishing. Toward Friday the fish were becoming real skittish. Any noise such as dropping anchor and passing boats and the fish would just disappear. We had one great night, Wed. night where we caught close to 50 fish from the dock. Only three or four were in the 10 inch catagory...everything else was 12 to 13 inch size. Very good quality fish this year. I did luck up and caught a 16 inch 2 pounder on Monday. All we used the whole week were minnows and bobbers. We did find that using a very slow retrieve netted many fish where as just letting the bobbers sit wouldn't hardly get a bite. I hope this helps.
