I don't know about Pickensville, but they were tearing it up on Gainesville Lake in waters about 6-9 miles above the Heflin Dam during the first through third weeks of April. I have not been back up there myself since then, but friends say they are still doing well in the Sipsey River area. I am now catching good quality fish in Okatuppa Creek about 6 miles above the Coffeeville Lock & Dam. This creek flows through the Choctaw National Wildlife Refuge. Good Luck!

Try lubbub or blubber creek. Been catchin real good fish there for the last couple of weeks. Fish are very shallow but seem to want the jig swimming much more than up and down jigging. It made a difference for me swimming the jig. Good luck.
