Many thanks for the responses to my earlier email re: the condition of the fish in Gainsville Lake. Guess I must look elsewhere to find fish that are safe to eat. What a shame, because there is so much good fishing along the Tenn-Tom.

I fish Gainsville lake a whole lot in the spring and have never seen the problems that you are reporting. I am only a crappie fisherman though. I catch a lot of quality fish there and have had no problems with eating them.
