A question from an avid fisherman in Pennsylvanian. Do people fish much for crappie in Alabama in the fall and winter? When is your peak crappie season and how cold or warm is it usually? Do you use minnows much. Do many people fish from shore for crappies. Appreciative it ifsomebody can answer.

Crappie fishing for me in North Alabama is great during the winter, normally middle of October to early April. I only use minnows. They are by far the best bait I have ever used fishing for crapie.
