i caught several really good females full of eggs today on cedar creek in north west al. they were in 7 to 10 foot of water and were caught 5 foot deep.the lake is droping and i guess it pushed them off the beds. does any one fish this lake or any of the bear creek lakes. this is my first year to fish any of these lakes. i've also been catching fish at big bear in about 3 foot of water. any information one these lakes and there normal spawning time would be a great help. thanks

I fish upper Bear, and was up there from Fayette approx 1 week ago. The Dogwoods have not even bloomed out up there! Are they that far Behind us on the weather warming up. Anyway a crappie could'nt be found that day I threw everything at'em. Did catch allot of bream though pull corking a black squirell tail. The water was up bad and was even clear. The water was up over the boat dock behind Phillips school. I plan on going back soon any help would be put to good use if anyone would let me know when they move up and start hitting. I'm affraid they already dumped them eggs maybe in deeper water. What do you think? navypop@yahoo.com
