Glad to share some fishing information with a fellow crappie fisherman.I start middle of October when they draw the river down to winter level. On through November and December are some of the best times. But what a lot of people do not know is night fishing is very productive. I fish all the causeways Mink, Preston, Cebole. I have no problem catching the limit most of the time. Most of the time to get a good spot at Mink or Preston you have to get there at 2PM during the day. I use slipcorks and minnows and a couple of Coleman lanterns. Also the 72 bridge and the North Salty bridge is good night spots. Take a ride one night down 79 highway and stop and talk to some folks you will see the results first hand. The better nights are always before a weather front is coming through. I will take fall and winter crappie fishing over spring anytime. Please let me know if this information has helped. GOODLUCK.
