I'm working on a book of natural beauty in Alabama. For the last year I've been covering the lakes & rivers. I've made it as far south as Camden and Demopolis and wonder what may be interesting or different in south Alabama. I've also covered the northern part of Lake Eufaula and wonder if it's just more of the same southward. I discovered the alligators near Camden and am a little uneasy about taking my old runabout into unknown waters. Any advice?

Since you didn't specifically mention North Alabama, allow me to invite you to visit us. To me some of the most beautiful site in Alabama are in and near the Tennessee Valley. The "Painted Bluffs" on the Tennessee River are of historical significance stemming from the Cherokee Indians who had a large settlement nearby. The mountains along the river near Scottsboro also offer almost unlimited photographic opportunities. Another, somewhat lesser known but equally beautiful site is Yellow Falls on Weiss Lake near Leesburg. I am a professional photojournalists myself and would be happy to assist you by showing you my area of the state. You can contact me via e-mail at kca@hiwaay.net if interested.
