2-4-04 hopefully is an indication of crappie fishing on Bibb county lake this year. 30 crappie ranging in size from 10-11.5" made for a nice mess and wonderful dinner. Caught 12 from mid-morning till 3pm then action picked up (usually a late afternoon run).
Caught nearly all flatline trolling w/oarnge road runner heads w/white,yellow body-chart. tassle tail grubs. Love these new tricolor grubs on the market now. Caught over dozer piles in 20-25' of water trolling at 6-9' during day and 1-3' deep from 3pm till dark.

Do you or have you ever fished lake Payne in the Oakmulgee forest. I went and they had drained it, real low. They built some big structures at various places mainly at the front entrance area. I didn"t do any good. Just wondering if its any good fishing? I think it was about a year ago when I went. If so the fish are all around the structure by now, that is if there was any in the first place. Not sure if they restocked it, I heard they had to work on the dam. Any info would be helpful.RICKY
