The Alabama Crappie Association is hosting an OPEN crappie tournament on Logan Martin Lake on 2-21-04. Safe daylight till 3:00pm. Launch and weigh in is at Lakeside Landing. Entry fee is $60.00 which includes big fish. Anyone can enter. Max 2 people per boat. Adult/youth and male/female teams welcome. This event is being held to help raise money for the annual Kids Fishing Day that the ACA puts on. For more information e-mail me at rd8@alltel.net

Do you ever fish Lake Payne? I went last year and they had drained it. While it was down they built some huge brush piles mainly where you come in at the front. It was super low, I had to back down the ramp and on the sand to launch my boat. I saw every stump in it. Didn"t do any good.Been wanting to go back but was wondering if its worth it. Any help appreciated..RICKY

I have never heard of Lake Payne. Where is it located?

I,m sorry I responded to the wrong posting. I was asking Michael Holden if he knew about Lake Payne. Its on the edge of the Oakmulgee National forest below Tuscaloosa. About a 100 acres give or take if I,m not mistaken. Thanks anyway....RICKY
