Can't believe crappie biting so good with an east wind--not supposed to happen. 28 crappie 10-11.5" long and healthy and fat. Mostly black crappie which I prefer. Caught crappie trolling over 22-28" of water and when crappie suspended from 5-10' deep they were in feeding mode. Flatline trolled orange head road runner 1/16 oz w/yellow,white body and chart. tassle tail twister grub. If crappie were deeper than 6-7' just shut off motor and let lure drop for a few seconds.
Ricky--in reply to Payne lake--caught some nice crappie, shellcrackers and bream there last year trolling between the opposing swimming beaches where the lake depth begins to drop. Been wanting to go back over there soon.

I live in Centreville and I am looking to go crappie fishing at the Bibb Co lake. Reply back when you are going next.
