This nice Bull Dolphin was taken about 70 miles east of Cape Lookout, N.C.I work on a research ship out of Beaufort, N.C. This fish hit a belly-strip bait of another Dolphin we had caught that morning. He fought hard for 25-minutes and made several runs before being landed on a penn/ 6.0 reel w/ 40lb. test.,,80lb. leader mono. That about it the weight of this denizen from the Gulf Stream was 55lb. of great mahi steaks.
